The brief history of vibrators
For centuries, doctors used what we now call masturbation as a method to treat female patients. In the Victorian era, the solution to "female hysteria" was seen in inducing hysterical paroxysms. However, the process—though helpful and necessary—was very time-consuming: to make this easier, the first vibrators were created.
The invention of the prototype is credited to American psychologist George Taylor, and the steam-powered device was named the "Manipulator." The first vibrator would seem very rudimentary today, but its primary goal was to assist doctors, allowing them to give their tired hands and wrists a break. Around 1880, Dr. Joseph Mortimer Granville patented the first electromechanical vibrator, and by 1902, Hamilton Beach introduced the first electric vibrator. Fun fact: this version was the fifth household appliance to use electricity, debuting a decade before electric vacuum cleaners or irons.
Following this, vibrators became very popular in the United States, with advertisements for them in magazines. However, this trend slowed in the 1920s when vibrators started appearing in pornography.
The revival of the vibrator's popularity came thanks to the sexual revolution of the 1960s. On June 30, 1966, John H. Tavel filed a patent for a "Cordless Electric Vibrator for Use on the Human Body." The cordless vibrator was officially patented on March 28, 1966, and soon after, the door to new innovations opened, making production cheaper and easier. By the 1980s, stores selling vibrators and sex toys were already open to shoppers in Hungary.

Benefits of different types
Everyone has different needs and desires, so it’s crucial to understand the benefits of each type of vibrator. Below, we explore how the different types of vibrators offer varying kinds of satisfaction.
Classic, simple bullet vibrators
These vibrators are perfect for those who love clean, simple designs. Among them, you'll find the most affordable products, made from solid materials—usually plastic—which are great at conducting vibrations. These toys are characterized by their lack of external coating, meaning none of the vibration is lost. Even vibrators with weaker motors can provide highly stimulating experiences. The classic vibrators also come with a huge variety of colors and sizes, so you can easily find the one that suits you best.
Realistic, lifelike vibrators
Many women are turned on by the sight of a penis, which makes vibrators with realistic shapes, pronounced heads, and veined textures particularly popular. It's also essential for some that the toy feels like the real thing, which is why toys made from soft, lifelike materials like Nature Skin offer a highly realistic, silky-smooth experience—an absolute must-have in your collection.
Rotating, feature-packed vibrators
These toys are designed to meet any sexual need. You can choose from vibrators that simulate intercourse with up-and-down movements, others with rotating beads and heads for extra pleasure, and even models with specialized functions—such as massaging waves or radio-controlled features. Naturally, these vibrators, as their name implies, combine special features with vibration, and the different functions can usually be adjusted separately or turned on and off independently.
Vibrators with clitoral stimulation arms
These vibrators are perfect for women who find clitoral orgasms easier to achieve. In addition to vibration or other special features, they come equipped with a clitoral stimulation arm that rests against the mons pubis, providing an extra massage. In most cases, the vibration of the arm can be controlled separately from the main vibration.
Anal vibrators
Designed specifically for anal play, these vibrators generally have a tapered shape to ensure gentler penetration into the anus. For beginners, this shape is highly recommended, and it's also important to choose a model that doesn't widen too much. Without enough experience, this could make the experience uncomfortable. When using an anal vibrator, always remember to use lubricant since the anus does not produce natural lubrication, and you’ll want to avoid damaging the sensitive tissue.
Hypoallergenic products
These vibrators are a great choice for women with sensitive skin or allergies since they are made from completely hypoallergenic silicone. The surface of these toys can be velvety smooth or slick, and they are easy to lubricate. Just remember to use only water-based lubricants with them, as silicone-based lubes can damage the material.
Waterproof vibrators
Who doesn't love the idea of enjoying some private time in the shower or relaxing in the tub—perhaps even with a glass of champagne in hand? Waterproof vibrators are designed precisely for these moments. Their safety comes from special sealing rings that prevent water from entering the motor.
Intimate massagers and finger vibrators
These toys are essential for foreplay, as they allow you to indulge in intense massages of erogenous zones. Start with the less sensitive areas, and work your way to the more intimate spots, increasing the erotic tension. These vibrators can also be used during intercourse: a finger vibrator can easily stimulate the nipples, clitoris, anus, or perineum in the right position. How you use them is entirely up to your imagination!
Luxury vibrators
For those with special preferences, luxury vibrators are the perfect choice. These products are made from top-quality materials, with sophisticated designs and advanced features. You’ll find that all luxury vibrators are made from hypoallergenic materials, are equipped with powerful motors, and offer multiple vibration patterns to choose from. Many models also have built-in, rechargeable batteries, so you won’t need to worry about replacing them. When you choose one of these products, even the packaging is first-class and incredibly stylish.
Prostate stimulators for men
These devices are specifically designed to suit the male anatomy. Their curved shape allows them to easily reach and stimulate one of the most sensitive pleasure points for men—the prostate, also known as the P-spot.
Factors to consider when choosing a vibrator
Aside from picking the model that appeals to you the most, there are several important factors to consider to ensure you get the most pleasure from your new toy. Below are some key points that can help guide your decision.
Price-quality ratio
As with any product, it’s important to consider the price-quality ratio when purchasing a vibrator. If a vibrator is more expensive, it’s usually for good reason! Generally speaking, the price of a toy is determined by the materials it’s made from, its durability, and the complexity of the electronics controlling the vibrations. From our experience, investing in a more expensive vibrator is often worth it for maximum satisfaction. Of course, if you’re on a budget, you’ll still be able to find a toy that matches your price range.
Size
The average erect penis is about 15–18 cm in length and 3.5–4 cm in diameter. While size isn’t everything when it comes to pleasure, we all know what length and girth we prefer—or what we’d like to try! If you’re a beginner, we recommend starting with smaller vibrators, up to about 15–20 cm in length, and a slimmer diameter. However, if you’re after something more adventurous, we also offer extra-large vibrators up to 25–38 cm.
Vibration and pleasure functions
Most vibrators allow you to adjust the intensity of the vibrations to your liking, and increasingly, models come with multiple vibration patterns for even more varied and lifelike experiences. The intensity and rhythm of the vibrations can usually be controlled either with a dial or buttons, so it’s worth picking one based on your personal preferences.
We can’t forget about multifunctional vibrators, which, in addition to vibrating, can also rotate, wave, or move up and down. Many of these models allow you to control the rotation direction and speed separately from the vibrations.
Material and composition
When choosing a vibrator, it’s crucial to consider skin and mucous membrane sensitivity. As we age, or even at younger ages if we have sensitive skin, it can be a good idea to choose hypoallergenic toys. If you have sensitive skin, chances are your mucous membranes are also sensitive, so selecting a toy with an allergen-free coating can prevent a lot of discomfort. This way, you can be confident that your first experience will be a pleasant one, and you won’t shy away from using pleasure toys in the future.
If you’re allergic to latex, it’s important to avoid rubber-based products. Alternatives include harder plastic, softer jelly, or silicone-based vibrators.
Let’s not forget about the super soft, silky, and lifelike materials that are always a hit. We also carry Nature Skin toys, which, based on our experience, offer a nearly natural feel during use.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the different materials vibrators are made from.
Silicone
Silicone is a high-quality, skin-friendly material that is durable, odorless, and easily warmed up. It quickly absorbs your body heat during use. Silicone has many benefits: it’s flexible, has a silky touch, and maintains its shape and color well. It’s heat-resistant, UV-resistant, phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, hygienic, easy to lubricate and clean, and environmentally friendly. With all these positives, it’s easy to see why a silicone vibrator can be a great choice for anyone.
Rubber or jelly material
This is a versatile material, which is why toys made from it are among the most popular and widespread. It’s highly flexible, durable, and quickly absorbs body heat. You’ll also find a wide range of colors and shapes in this category.
Hard plastic
The popularity of hard plastic vibrators comes from their ability to conduct vibrations better than softer materials, providing a more intense sensation. Hard materials also allow for firmer stimulation, making them ideal for G-spot or prostate play. All plastic products are odorless, smooth-surfaced—so they’re easy to lubricate—phthalate-free, hygienic, and simple to clean.
Velvet coating on a solid base
While these products share many characteristics with those made from solid plastic, they are UV-resistant and quickly absorb body heat for a comfortable, natural feel.
Lifelike materials
The most luxurious material, as it offers an incredibly realistic, lifelike feel that outshines other materials. These products are soft, silky, and odorless, with excellent durability and flexibility. They are also phthalate-free, UV-resistant, easy to warm up, quickly absorb body heat during use, and environmentally friendly. To maintain their silky texture, it’s recommended to regularly treat these toys with care powder or baby powder.
Latex
Latex is essentially natural rubber, and it’s a delicate, fine-structured material. All latex products come with a protective powder coating from the factory, and for a more comfortable experience, it’s recommended to use lubricant during play. Latex is flexible, silky, and quickly absorbs body heat since it’s a natural material; it’s also eco-friendly, hygienic, and very easy to clean. We offer a range of special care products—polishing spray, cleaners, and powders—that help ensure your latex toys last as long as possible.
Acrylic (glass-like plastic) and glass
All acrylic and glass products are hypoallergenic, odorless, and have a smooth surface that is easy to lubricate. These materials are great for conducting vibrations, UV-resistant, quickly absorb body heat, hygienic, easy to clean, phthalate-free, and extremely decorative. What more could you ask for?
Color and design
The visual appeal of a vibrator can also be an important factor when choosing the right one. It helps when a toy is visually pleasing, or if it comes in your favorite color, or represents a design that resonates with you. That’s why we offer a wide variety of choices, ensuring everyone can find a toy that matches their style.
Our range includes classic, simple bullet vibrators, popular penis-shaped toys, designer vibrators (like Close2You, Lelo), and everything from playful (cucumber, corn, banana, carrot, etc.), cute animal designs (dolphin, rabbit, hummingbird, swan, etc.), to vibrators with unique surface textures (soft spikes, waves, ridges, etc.).
When it comes to colors, we didn’t hold back. Our selection includes black, white, natural, pink, silver, red, blue, purple, and even green vibrators, so you’ll have plenty to choose from!
Warranty conditions
Once you’ve selected and purchased your vibrator, there are a few basic guidelines to keep in mind. Before your first "test run," be sure to insert the proper type of batteries, and when opening the box, be careful not to tear it. This is important because only intact packaging allows you to exchange a malfunctioning product for a working one.
Since these are intimate hygiene products, they aren’t covered by the same warranty policies as other electronic devices. However, if the product packaging is intact and the device works but doesn’t meet your expectations, you can exchange it within 30 days—as long as you include the receipt.
In cases of product malfunction, you have 30 days to return it, but we offer a one-year warranty on our vibrating products, provided that the motor is defective and not due to mechanical issues—like tears or material damage.
One more important tip: don’t store silicone or silicone-based products (TPE, TPR, etc.) touching each other, as the materials can interact and potentially degrade.
